Strategic Planning Committee

The District 5 Office has set out to cultivate a community sourced strategic plan that is guided by community leaders ranging from labor to experts in the environment, housing, and education.
District 5 created a Strategic Planning Committee in this process and worked together on the District 5 Strategic Plan. THANK YOU to everyone who is a part of this process.

Anna Harper-Guerrero

Anna Harper-Guerrero, LMSW, is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse in Tucson and has served as a Faculty Associate at the Arizona State University School of Social Work in Tucson.  Prior to joining the Emerge team, Anna was a Special Staff Assistant to Pima County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard Elías.  She has been in the field of social work for 20 years and has extensive clinical and program development experience in domestic abuse and sexual assault services. Anna is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Arizona State University and received her licensure from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners in 2004 and was named Tucson’s 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year in 2009.

I am a Nuyorican originally from Queens, NY, currently living in Scottsdale, AZ. I am dedicated to advocating for equitable life sustaining and life bettering opportunities on behalf of marginalized and vulnerable populations and am privileged to conduct community outreach to build diverse coalitions to collaborate and develop practical solutions to systemic oppression as the Democracy Director of LUCHA/ACE.

Carolyn Campbell

Carolyn is the Executive Director of the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection, a conservation organization founded in 1998 and consisting of 40 conservation and community groups based in Tucson, Arizona. Carolyn previously worked on environmental issues for former Arizona Congressman Morris K. Udall and former Tucson City Councilmember Molly McKasson. Carolyn serves as Vice-Chair of the Regional Transportation Authority’s Citizen Advisory Committee, and previously served on Habitat Conservation Plan stakeholder committees for Pima County, City of Tucson and Town of Marana.

Dan Eckstrom

Former Pima County Supervisor for District 2

Dan Eckstrom is a lifetime resident of Barrio Libre, a 1965 graduate of Pueblo High School and a 1969 graduate of the University of Arizona, with a BA in Government.  Served continuously for 32 years and four months as a Council Member and Mayor of the City of South Tucson and as the District 2 Pima County Supervisor, which included service along side Congressman Raul Grijalva, and the late County Supervisor Richard Elias.  Currently, President of a management consulting firm serving both private and nonprofit clients, having also served as an Assistant Vice President of the National Economic Development Association (NEDA).  U.S. Army JAG Corps enlisted veteran and a Lifetime Member of the American Legion Yoeme Post 125.  Inducted into the Arizona Democratic Party Hall of Fame and the Pueblo High Warrior Alumni Hall of Fame.

Hi! my name is Eddie Barron and I’m an activist and organizer whose mission is to amplify young people’s voices in decision making. I’m representing The Arizona Changemaker Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aids, empowers, and advances young leaders with means to create equitable change and advocate for the welfare of their communities.

IBEW Local 570

I grew up in Tucson in Wester Hills AKA Barrio Vista. I have been an electrician almost all of my adult life and getting into the IBEW Electricians Union is one of the best economic decisions I have ever made.  I now work for the IBEW Local 570 in Tucson where I recruit for and promote local 570. My position has allowed me to be involved with local issues and politics that affect my community and the resources to take action.
